As 30,000 More Heroes Shine Their Boots For The Streets of Kabul, FOG Creates a Village to Raise Adults
For Immediate Release
MINNEAPOLIS--- MPBS24/7 - While it may take 30,000 more troops heading to Afghanistan to secure the Western way of life, according to Philip Jegede, these military heroes should go knowing that those left behind cherish the precious opportunity to hold hands with wives and hug children who are the basis of their mission of honor. "Their sacrifice is not in vain," stated Jegede. "It also provides an opportunity to consider Mustafa - a young, handsome, and innocent child growing up in faith who may pick up a gun and proclaimed 'Allah Akbar' in the streets of Obama's Chicago.
"His brothers, his fathers, his teachers, and above all, his best friends should pick up the Holy Koran and read to him the true promises of Allah who is indeed 'Akbar'," said Jegede, who cites Chapter 3, verse 172, of the Koran: "Of those who answered the call of Allah and the messenger, even after being wounded, those who do right and refrain from wrong have a great reward."
Sponsored by nonprofit, Minnesota-based Philip Jegede Evangelistic Association, FOG are operating on the philosophy that while it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a new village to raise an adult. Jegede refers to a quote from J.K. Hart when explaining why the organization is taking this step: "No child can escape his community. The life of the community flows about him, foul or pure; he swims in it, goes to sleep in it, and wakes to the new day to find it still about him. He belongs to it; it nourishes him, or starves him, or poisons him; it gives him the substance of life."
Mothers, brothers, teachers, and best friends of Mustafa - come together to debate issues and brainstorm ideas to make the world kinder and less violent. The undertakings of FOG include adding member representatives from 257 countries, to reach 36,245. Said Jegede, "Issues that confront our world will be dealt with fearlessly, impartially, and with probity, and to arrive at decisions that will create a worldwide positive behavior modification.
"The chambers will accomplish their mission through educational and spiritual self-improvement programs designed to promote understanding, respect for differences and beliefs, selfless acts of kindness and generosity as God/Allah would act if He were to live among us.
"Through the positive impact of our educational programs, we pledge to leave this world for our children a better world than we were born into. No government on earth can successfully legislate faith, beliefs, kindness or selflessness.
"As it has been said before, 'It takes a village to raise a child.' This same village is now necessary to raise an adult - Chambers of the Friends of God."
The first three issues for debate and possible resolution by FOG are:
* Total eradication of starvation of children worldwide.
* Stopping women and child trafficking for sexual slavery worldwide.
* Eradicating the use of God's name in committing violent acts from all religions.
FOG aims through the Seek Help/Give Help forum provided at the Chambers of FOG Web site,
FOGChambers.org (http://www.fogchambers.org), that one day a Muslim in Saudi Arabia will be able to offer help to a Christian in New York.
"We live in a global world where who you know is just as important as what you know," concluded Jegede.
